For the third consecutive year, Cohere collaborated with Stephen Starr and his talented team on the Starr Restaurants holiday gift card campaign, orchestrating a highly anticipated initiative in hospitality holiday marketing. With 40+ restaurants across markets in NYC, Philadelphia, DC, Ft Lauderdale, and Miami, we worked to create a multifaceted campaign that showcased Starr gift cards as the perfect present for anyone on their list.
Our aim for their holiday marketing was to highlight the extraordinary and unique experiences offered at Starr restaurants through various digital endeavors, including social media advertisements, radio ads, SMS text based messaging and email blasts. This effort was complemented by Out of Home and streaming advertisements, as well as sponsorship of charitable holiday events. The outcome? A data-driven success story for the Starr Restaurants marketing team that surpassed our initial goals, achieving a significant ROAS of 1:31, and demonstrating the effectiveness of our strategies in generating substantial returns on investment. Their spend for restaurant marketing was 2% when the average is 10%, so we are performing far above the average hospitality marketing team!
The main wave of our creative campaign involved combining shoots in-studio and at the restaurants to capture the narrative of a Starr experience visually. Each ad tells a unique story that reflects the personal and one-of-a-kind experience you find at Starr Restaurants.
Le Diplomate, St. Anselm, and El Presidente--all STARR Restaurants that are located in Washington D.C.
Fette Sau, Butcher and Singer, Steak 954, and St. Anselm showcase STARR Restaurants with meat-focused menus.
The custom gift guide we created, inspired by vintage holiday catalogs, highlighted the restaurants in each of their four major markets, while also providing customers with interactive games and fun updates on Starr Restaurants, evoking a feeling of nostalgia.
